This year’s award will celebrate the Hon. Tressa M. Alioth, BSBA'95, JD'97, the first Black female district court judge in Nebraska. Alioth was previously a prosecutor for the Douglas County Attorney's Office, where she served in multiple capacities for 26 years.

Alioth’s qualities of excellence, perseverance and dedication make her an ideal recipient of the Pittman Award, which honors the legacy of Judge Elizabeth D. Pittman, the first Black woman to graduate from Creighton’s School of Law. Pittman was also the first Black person and the first woman to be appointed as a judge in Nebraska.

For those of you unable to attend in person, a livestream link will be available.

Help us honor these extraordinary women from the School of Law! We hope you will join us!

Where: Ahmanson Ballroom in Creighton’s Harper Center
