EdD Faculty and Alumnus Publish Research on Bail

Leah Georges, PhD, and Jim Martin, PhD, co-authored an article with alumnus Brian Brittain, EdD'18, titled “Examining the Predictive Validity of the Public Safety Assessment."

Soon to be featured in the journal of Criminal Justice and Behavior, it's a statistical analysis of a pretrial assessment used to determine the actuarial risk a person poses for failing to appear for court and committing a new crime if released prior to the disposition of their case.
