Healthcare Educator Teaching and Learning (Graduate Certificate)

This graduate certificate program offers courses in adaptive teaching and learning theories, leadership strategies, higher education in health professions, and application of teaching theories, methods, and skills in contemporary health care contexts. Program Goals and Curriculum
Creighton’s program will help you develop the skills needed to be a more effective academic or clinical educator by providing in-depth knowledge of critical teaching and learning practices. Upon completion of this certificate students will:
- Appraise and apply adaptive learning concepts in both teaching and learning
- Demonstrate effective leadership strategies for the healthcare professionals
- Analyze the higher education environment in relation to healthcare education
- Apply teaching and learning theories, methods, and skills to contemporary health care and higher education contexts
To earn this certificate, you must complete 15 credit hours:
- Learning in the Health Professions
- Leadership in Health Professions
- Teaching Internship
- American Professoriate
SPECIFIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for admission to the Healthcare Educator Teaching and Learning certificate program, applicants must:
Complete an application
- Include an updated curriculum vitae or resume

A personal interview may be requested in addition to the above requirements. The interview may be conducted in-person or virtually.
International students are welcomed into this program so long as they complete it from their country of residence, as F-1 visas will not be issued.
International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements.
