NEW PROGRAM | Graduate Certificate in K-12 Educational Leadership through Sports
K-12 EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP THROUGH SPORTS (GRAD CERT)
Creighton University Graduate School is pleased to announce a new certificate program in Education. Our K-12 Educational Leadership through Sports certificate was designed specifically for K-12 coaches to provide an experiential graduate certificate in educational leadership through a sports lens. Whether students have a career goal of becoming a building administrator, a head coach, or an athletic director, students who join this new program will earn a unique sports leadership credential that will enable them to lead their coaches and athletic departments with a purposeful vision. In addition, the certificate program can be used as a stepping-stone to become an athletic director and can build to an administrative degree with a Master’s in Educational Leadership.
Quality leadership is imperative to the success of our schools and our students. Studies have shown that effective leadership is second only to quality teaching in terms of improving student achievement. Rooted in Jesuit values, Creighton’s leadership and education programs go beyond the administrative aspects of school leadership. Students are taught the importance of compassion, relationship-building, reflection and humility in their work. Through hands-on, project-based learning experiences, students learn to lead and manage their teams, sustain a positive culture, and respond to diverse community interests.
The certificate is offered online, enabling students to join our classes from anywhere in the world and experience meaningful interactions with world-class faculty.
