ADVANCED CERTIFIED SCRUM PRODUCT OWNER TRAINING

This Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO^SM) workshop is designed to take product owners to the next level of knowledge, skill and certification. The workshop builds on the foundation established in the Certified Scrum Product Owner^® (CSPO^®) designation, so participants should already hold a CSPO^® certification. Set yourself apart by being one of the first in the world to earn this advanced certification from the Scrum Alliance^®. The course is a highly interactive learning experience that will share best practices, explore real-life problems and offer practical techniques to take away and apply immediately.

Attendees will take part in experiential exercises and simulations that help them build the skills to:

• Define a clear product vision and focus on the features that delight customers
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholder groups to achieve alignment
• Identify crucial opportunities and avoid wasting time chasing the latest shiny object
• Define and validate business value
• Prioritize initiatives from competing stakeholders
• Craft minimum viable product (MVP) plans, as well as long-term roadmaps

COURSE CREDIT

This course is an elective within the Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and it’s worth 1.5 credits. The course can be taken independently as a professional development course or as part of the certificate program. Please note that students are limited to earning a maximum of nine graduate credits before applying for admission into a degree or certificate program. If you are below the nine-credit limit and are not seeking a certificate or degree, you’re free to take this course without applying to the graduate school.

Creighton University will issue a 1098-T by January 31 for all learners enrolled in courses for credit. As part of that process, you may be asked to provide your Social Security number.

GOALS OF THE TRAINING

All Advanced CSPO courses are taught by educators approved by the Scrum Alliance^®. Taking an A-CSPO course, meeting the 7 learning objectives and accepting the license agreement designates you as an Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

This Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner training course will be led by Chris Sims. Sims is a Certified Scrum Trainer^® and the founder of Agile Learning Labs. He has authored many articles on Scrum, and he’s co-authored two best-selling books: The Elements of Scrum and Scrum: A Breathtakingly Brief and Agile Introduction. He describes himself as a recovering C++ developer who helps organizations improve their productivity and happiness.
