The Post-Graduate Certificate program through Creighton’s College of Nursing will help you build on your skills and knowledge, explore new professional avenues and expand your leadership role in health care.
Description

Perhaps you’ve already earned your graduate nursing degree, but now you have new goals. Maybe you’d like to expand your nursing role—or maybe you have an interest in an area outside of what you studied during your time in a graduate nursing program. If any of these situations sound familiar, a post-graduate nursing certificate could be just what you're looking for.

Earning a post-graduate nursing certificate from Creighton sets you apart

The post-graduate certificate program in nursing will develop your strengths in evidence-based practice, enhance the scientific knowledge and skills you already have, and prepare you for even more success in the ever-changing field of health care. A post-graduate nursing certificate indicates that you’ve not only expanded your knowledge of patient care, but that you’ve also advanced your skills in communication, leadership and critical thinking.

You’ll be able to address, prevent and resolve ethical dilemmas and situations using moral reasoning and values-based dialogue that you strengthened while in the program. These highly sought skills are an essential part of your Creighton education, and they position you for success in a variety of practice environments, including schools, correctional facilities, private companies, home health agencies, mental health settings, long-term care facilities and more.

Advance your nursing career at your own pace

The online post-graduate certificate program is extremely flexible and can be tailored to your own interests and goals. You can complete the courses at your own pace, meaning you can make this program work around your career. Plus, you’ll choose a nursing specialty path that will develop just the set of skills you’re looking for.

BECOME A NURSE EDUCATOR—JOIN OUR NEWEST PROGRAM

Creighton recently launched a Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education track to meet the demand of the nursing faculty shortage identified by the American Association of Colleges of Nurses. The program is designed to help you achieve a career as an innovative educator in academic or clinical settings.  You’ll learn about teaching and learning principles, assessment of student learning and curricular design. Graduates will be eligible candidates for the Certified Nurse Educator CNE® exam, which is administered through the National League for Nursing.

Creighton’s College of Nursing is a recipient of the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP).
