Description

EARNING AN MSN FROM CREIGHTON SETS YOU APART

There is high demand for nurses who possess a comprehensive set of skills and can ensure the best outcomes for patients. Creighton University offers MSN programs in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration and Leadership that are recognized for developing highly skilled, compassionate nurses who are ready to lead the nursing industry.

Creighton’s MSN programs in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration and Leadership are flexible, online programs designed to fit into your busy schedule. You can complete the majority of your master’s degree online, although you may be required to make some visits to campus. In addition to most of your requirements being online, you can be a full-time or part-time student—whatever best fits your life. And, you’re not required to take the GRE or submit a thesis.

Become a Nurse Educator—join our newest program

Creighton recently launched an MSN in Nursing Education track to meet the demand of the nursing faculty shortage identified by the American Association of Colleges of Nurses. The program is designed to help you achieve a career as an innovative educator in academic or clinical settings.  You’ll learn about teaching and learning principles, assessment of student learning and curricular design.  Graduates will be eligible candidates for the Certified Nurse Educator CNE ® exam, which is administered through the National League for Nursing.

Creighton’s College of Nursing is a recipient of the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP). Students enrolled in the MSN in Nursing Education program and the Nursing Education Post Graduate Certificate Program are eligible to apply for NFLP funding. Loan recipients may have up to 85% of their loan forgiven by working full-time as a Nurse Educator after graduating from their program. There is also a loan forgiveness option for Nurse Practitioners who complete the Nursing Education Post Graduate Certificate Program and serve as full-time preceptors for NP students after completion.

Students who successfully complete Creighton’s Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Education are eligible to apply 15 credit hours of their graduate coursework upon admission to Creighton’s Doctor of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership (EdD) program. This terminal degree program offers a values-based curriculum focused on developing ethical leaders who can make a positive impact on the world around them.
