Program Goals and Curriculum

The MS in Organizational Leadership program is ideal for individuals who wish to lead positive change in their workplace and community and who desire the flexibility of an online master’s program.

To earn this master’s degree, you must complete 36 credits:

  • Core Courses

    • Leadership Theory, Application and Reflection
    • Strategic Orienteering and Execution Tactics
    • Communicating and Leading Across Cultures
    • Innovation and Adaptive Change
    • Approaches to Human Capital
    • Leadership Capstone
  • Electives

Concentrations
Students can earn a concentration in business leadership or healthcare leadership by completing 12 credit hours within one of these areas. Any electives can be taken to fulfill the remaining 6 credit hours.

Graduate Certificates

Students can choose to complete courses toward a graduate certificate in another field of study as part of the electives requirement. These programs require just 15 credit hours to complete, and options include Bioethics, Healthcare Management, Leadership and Well Being, Lifestyle Medicine, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Organizational Leadership and Sports Leadership.

Specific Application Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program, applicants must:

  • Complete an application
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree with 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Have completed two years of full-time work or leadership experience
  • Include a resume or curriculum vitae
  • Submit a personal statement (see application for specific requirements)
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from persons other than friends or family members

A personal interview may be requested in addition to the above requirements. The interview may be conducted in-person or virtually.

International students are welcomed into this program so long as they complete it from their country of residence, as F-1 visas will not be issued. 

International applicants must meet English language proficiency requirements.
